Catching Up

It's been a while since I've posted, but I have been very busy - both creatively and also in general. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will add some updated project pics. It's been so long since I've posted that I'm not even sure how to anymore! Wish me luck!

Fleece Jackets:

I found a fabulous jacket pattern online that combines Fleece and Knitting. Paradise! Having never made anything like it before, I ended up modifying the pattern as I went (that's a nice way of saying I couldn't figure out how to do something, so I winged it...) Here's the finished result:

The jacket ended up being a gift for my Grandmother. I was so excited to have finished it, that I made another for myself, using the leftovers from my Grandmother's jacket. I don't have a picture of the one I made for myself, but it looks just like the one above, only this time with pockets. And so it began...

This one was made for my Mother, after she saw me wearing the one I made for myself. I was getting a little tired of green though, and was out of yarn, so hers was done in brown acrylic instead. Hers had pockets, too. See? I'm getting better at this! Even the hem lays flatter now.

Ok, I'm done with fleece jackets. Wait! No? No! This one was made for my Sister, who saw the one my Mother was wearing:

My Sister likes blue. Can you tell? Actually, you probably can't see the color of the sleeves and bands - they're a pretty Navy blue. I didn't add pockets to hers (yet). A friend of hers saw her wearing the jacket and...

No. I will not make another. At least, not right now. Ok, ok. Soon, probably. Definitely! These things are addicting!

If you would like to check out the pattern yourself, be warned that you can't make just one! Luckily, they knit up quick. I found the pattern at:

Tell Dorothy I sent you. :)
